Wilson turns 25

10 years ago when we started meeting with professional counselors for advice on how to parent you, Dr Fielding told us that in his experience, many people's brains start to settle down at age 25.  For 10 years Dad and I have been reminding ourselves of this possibility, and although we usually say it tongue in cheek, there seems to be some validity!  This has been quite a year.  You started and ended a relationship with Wendy and became a father.  You have have kept a job for almost 7 months and have learned a ton about plumbing and become a valuable employee.  You bought your first car and recently purchased insurance and tires.  You even bought a bed and no longer sleep on an air mattress or the floor.  There are some kid things you still really enjoy like beer and video games and Dad and I hope you don't feel judged by us.  We all have our vices and weaknesses and are all just trying to do our best.  A few weeks ago Cooper and Jes came.  We had family pictures and a family meal for the first time in 3 years.  It felt like some healing is happening in our family, and you are a big part of that.   I am thankful to be your Mom and curious and excited to see what life has in store for you.  I love you.
