June 2013

Cooper and Eliza discover that they both really enjoy biking.  Eliza and Roxy enjoy a 16 mile ride to Lancaster while Cooper rides 30 to Endicott and back!

We reignite our love affair with Rock Lake

The Lundberg Summer Cooking series results in yummy dinners--thanks to the kids.  Wilson makes a fantastic Mexican Pizza rivaled by Cooper's BBQ honey chicken.  Eliza perfects pasta dishes and Max becomes a star salad maker.

In June we hiked Kamiak Butte, Steptoe Butte and the Dishman Mica hills.

Wilson shaves a mohawk in preparation for football camp.  He has a great time and is ready to take the State Championship this year!

We make a ginormous banana split with Workmans to celebrate the end of school!  YUM!

Eliza and Max surprise everyone with breakfast in bed.  What a lovely way to start the summer.

Our bees swarmed!  This was an exciting event as we watched them form a swirling black cloud out in the yard and congregate on the trees.  Kenneth came and carefully shook the queen into a box, places her in a new hive and waited.  Sure enough all the bees moved to their queen as soon as they could smell her.  It was fascinating to watch
