Jonah and Lindsey

Last weekend we returned to our happy place, Diamond Lake to celebrate Jonah and Lindsey's wedding.  It was whirlwind wonderful wedding and the Hainsworths outdid themselves.  We loved being support staff-it feels so good to work hard with people we love.  We arrived Thursday and hit the ground running.  I was grateful to have a chance to meet Lindsey's mom Julie.  She has raised 8 amazing children and experienced widowhood through suicide.  She has the spiritual strength and peace that I admire so much in Betsy, and it was a gift to get to know their family.  Lindsey and Jonah are a beautiful match.

Andrea. absolutely nailed the food.  From the Thursday night family dinner to the lake day breakfast and dinner to the caterer and wedding cake, everything was perfect.  Betsy's special gift is attention to detail, so she made a big difference at the ring ceremony when she insisted on hauling a divider to the fire pit to hide the messy audio equipment.  Tony and Jeff saved the day by managing the sound system.  I just soaked in the awesomeness of 25 years of friendship that synced Betsy Andrea and I into a seamless machine of efficiency and "get er done"ness.  The temple ceremony was also a highlight.  Jeff Elmer reviewed the covenants and promises succinctly and powerfully.  I loved watching Jonah and Linsey run through the sparklers off the dock and into the ski boat-absolutely magical.
