EBB Tribe Weekend, minus the Hainsworths :(

We had a whirlwind wonderful weekend with Jeff, Betsy, Brad and Kim.  It was kind of weird to rent a VRBO in St George, but it actually was so relaxing and truly felt like a vacation, even in our hometown.  Friday night we had a delicious dinner at Chef Alfredos and then checked into the VRBO.  Saturday we intended to go surfing, but sadly so did everyone else in southern Utah and the lakes were closed.  Then the truck broke and the guys spent hours replacing a fuse so the brakes on the trailer wouldn't lock.  We finally got the boat returned and spent a relaxing afternoon in the pool.  We made Poke bowls that night with tuna that Tonys racquetball friend had just caught in Mexico. It was next level.  We talked and played games until 2:00 in the morning.  Sunday we all went to our ward where we were well fed by new missionaries.  They were some of the best talks we had ever heard.  I was also pleased to make some connections with people in our ward and Brad and Kim. I felt convicted to follow the spirit and testify of and draw everyone around me, especially my family to Jesus Christ. After church Tony grilled a salmon and we ended our happy weekend in the botanical gardens.  Wilson and Sam both got showered with love by everyone and I felt grateful.

Wilson has been sleeping over once a week with Harlow.  Its' been wonderful.  We have quality time with him and he has quality time with her.  Last night he invited us to play Magic cards with him after he put the baby to bed.  Of course, I didn't get it at all, but he was so excited to share and I loved feeling the connection.

Mother's Day

The nicest thing about mother's day this year was that it was drama free.  I did not feel angsty, even when I was asked to turn my primary class over to strangers to attend Relief Society. We had a terrible tasting breakfast on Saturday with Zack and Sadie and Mom and Dad Lundberg, but enjoyed the company.  Dinner with Mom and Dad on Sunday and made a  yummy brisket platter salad.  We continue to love our experience teaching English on Sunday nights and although we have to cut the evening short, it is the most filling part of our week.  We also were able to celebrate Wendy as a mother and hope she felt loved and appreciated.  Also, celebrating focusing on bering a grandmother for mother's Day makes a big difference.  Very reinforcing.

As a bonus, Mom treated me to a pedicure on the last day of school.  It was a happy afternoon and nice way to end the year.

There are at least a million reasons why our friendship shouldnt work.  But the one reason why it does is all that matters; we were ordained to be covenant keeping sisters
