Jeff and Stacey's visit last week made our 4th of July extra fun. Evalie had a dance competition in Las Vegas so Mom and I joined she and Stacey on Saturday at the Mirage to see her competition and experience the dance world! Evalie was so beautiful and our stay was extra nice because of Lori and Blake's generosity to let us stay at their house and swim in their pool. We went to a local ward the next morning and enjoyed a a beautiful testimony by a man from Hawaii. His great grandfather was a tribal leader who received revelation that worshipping idols was not worshipping the true God. When missionaries arrived he embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized. Stacey and Jeff had just studied how our great grandfather Benjamin Cluff had served a mission with his family in Hawaii and it was fun to think of our two stories intersecting. Mom had butter chicken all ready for us when we got home to break our fast before Tony and I headed to English class.
On the fourth of July we spent most of the morning making red white and blue jello, prepping the "juicy Lucy" burgers and playing with Harlow. When all the grandparents arrived (including Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy) we had our yummy BBQ. Kate and her friend joined us for a bit as well as Wilson and Wendy. When all the old people left Jeff and the kids joined us at the pool and for fireworks. We enjoyed Charlie, Sophie and Finn so much. They have all the best parts of Jeff and Stacey.
On Wednesday we had a 100% perfect day at Sand Hollow. No wind, great water temperature and no problems with the boat. We all surfed and even I popped up everytime and let go of the rope! It was so cute to watch Kate with her cousins and to see her brightness. Jeff and his kids were perfect boat goers and Charlie was Tony's best helper.
I was able to join Jeff and the kids for a Spiderman movie on Thursday and felt grateful that I'll see everyone again at CSC in a few weeks.
